There are angels among us.

They are called Watcher Angels. Each assigned to one of the chosen to protect and watch over them throughout their lives. Then there are Demons, the antagonist to all angels, especially the Watchers, and they are after one thing, the souls or at least the very lives of humanity. So the Watchers battle where we cannot.
